Easing into the new year with a bit of personal editing of some images shot at a wedding last year once off the clock. Experimenting with slow exposure and camera movement.
It’s been a while since a post of any kind. Life is busy with teaching photography and that is ticking along nicely. More of a rythem is needed with my own blogging about my own photographic exploits. For now here are two star trails from the weekend just gone, enjoy!
A new, on going project, with an abstract approach to the calming act of ‘Shinrin Yoku’ or ‘Forest Bathing’. These slow exposure panning images create a different feel to photography and its use to document the world around us. https://www.behance.net/gallery/61107421/Shinrin-Yoku
One thing I’ve wanted to do for a very long time has been to use a tripod in the front passenger footwell of a car at night. I love the abstract light trails which don’t have complete coherency
I took full advantage of this mornings high tide and overcast sky to introduce the new camera to the Cokin Nuance filters. Creating long exposures in daylight can be great fun and a challenge to meter. http://www.andrewpaulhayward.com/24th-october-2016.html
